Mokgadi is a researcher at TIPS, supporting the Presidential Employment Stimulus, coordinated by the Project Management Office in the Presidency. Her current interest explores how livelihood initiatives can support pathways out of poverty.
Her research interest began when she joined the Wits Health Consortium at the Perinatal HIV Research Unit (PHRU) supporting community-led cross-sectional national research study focusing on the social and employment circumstances of female sex workers. She later completed her Master’s degree at the University of South Africa, focusing on the absence of career guidance in disadvantaged schools and how that influences career choices. She managed the pilot phase of the G2G partnership between South Africa and the U.S. through the Department of Basic Education, the programme promoted psychosocial services at schools, ultimately enabling youth to enter the world of work.
