Nicola Wills is a Senior Analyst at DNA Economics, and works in the Trade, Regulation and Industry practice area, as well as the Climate Change practice area. Her work has involved research on the carbon abatement strategies across various industries, carbon emission calculations and reporting, climate change policy and trade, the South African Just Energy Transition, and the overall sustainability reporting for companies in different. She has worked on a variety of industrial competition and regulatory policy projects throughout Africa. Her interests focus on energy policy, industry and competition, sustainability, gender mainstreaming, and education in emerging economies. She holds a Master of Commerce degree in Development Economics from the University of Cape Town, and an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge, and will be pursuing her PhD in Economics at UCT in 2025.
