Walter Shiba is an Agricultural Economist in the Economic Analysis Unit at the Agricultural Research Council (ARC). He holds a PhD in Agricultural Economist from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Science (CAAS). He has previously work as a Lecturer at the University of Fort Hare and a research assistance form the National Agricultural Marketing Council (NAMC). His research interests span from climate change, rural development, energy consumption, and indigenous crops. Supervised eight honours students, scientific and organizing committee member of the 61st Agricultural Economics Association of South Africa (AEASA).
