Claire Vermaak is a lecturer in Economics at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Durban. Her research interests lie mainly in the field of applied labour economics, focusing particularly on the interactions between the labour market, poverty and inequality. She obtained her PhD from UKZN in 2012.
