Leif Petersen is a founding Director of the Sustainable Livelihoods Foundation (SLF). He has been involved in the research and management of SLF's informal economy research throughout South Africa, and has recently submitted his PhD dissertation to the University of Queensland, Australia on Cape Town's informal economy of wild harvested resources and traditional medicine.
