Mashekwa Maboshe is a PhD Candidate in the School of Economics at UCT, focusing on the economic effects of corporate taxation in developing countries. He has an Honours and a Masters degree in Economics from the University of Cape Town and a BA (Economics) degree from the University of Zambia. Recent research work involves the analysis of the distributional impact of fiscal policy in South Africa in a World Bank supported study. His research interests include the impact of corporate tax policy on firm behaviour, labour markets, and on poverty and inequality.
