Eddie Rakabe holds a Master’s Degree in economic development from the University of Johannesburg. He is responsible for overseeing research on public finance issues in the fiscal policy unit of the Financial and Fiscal Commission. Previously he has worked as an economist at the National Treasury and on the South African SKA bid at the National Research Foundation. His research interests are in the areas of low income markets, second economy activities and making markets work for the poor.
