Kwena Mabye is a Junior Research Fellow at the Southern Africa Labour and Development Research Unit (SALDRU) and a M.Com Development Economics candidate at the University of Cape Town. Her research interests lie in the areas of labour, inequality, enterprise development and public employment. She is currently conducting research for the South African Presidency, the European Union (EU) and Agence Française de Développement (AFD) on the Presidential Employment Stimulus Programme. This forms part of a research program initiative by the EU-AFD Research Facility on Inequalities, which seeks to support partner governments in formulating and implementing inequality-reducing policies.
