Mr. Mahlatse Mabeba is a researcher at the UNISA Institute of Social and Health Sciences (ISHS) and the UNISA-SAMRC Violence, Injury and Social Asymmetries Research Unit (VISARU). He holds a Master of Science in Economic Analysis, majoring in Comparative Economics, from Corvinus University of Budapest, Hungary. His research interests lie in applied economics and public policy, with a focus on using empirical and econometric tools to address social and economic challenges. Mahlatse is an alumnus of the Don Lavoie Fellowship at the Mercatus Center, George Mason University, and a Mandela Washington Fellowship alumnus, having completed executive leadership training in Public Management at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Syracuse University, New York State.
