Tshepo Morokong is a Senior Agricultural Economist at the Western Cape Department of Agriculture, in the division Macro and Resource Economics. He holds a 4 year BSc Agricultural Economics (Agribusiness Management) and MSc in Sustainable Agriculture degree. He has also completed short-courses in Business Analysis, Land Economics and governance structure and Econometrics to name a few. Areas of expertise include Agribusiness Multi-sector analysis, Trade and Rural Development, Natural Resource Economics, Sustainable Agriculture. He has published in several academic journals and he is also serving Lecturer Extraordinary at the University of Stellenbosch. He has previously worked in the private sector as Trainee business Analyst (Nedbank), Policy and markets assistant (Conservation South Africa) and Natural Resources economics researcher (ASSET Research).
