Tshepo Morokong is a Senior Agricultural Economist at the Western Cape Department of Agriculture,in the programme Agricultural Economics Services. He holds an MSc in Agriculture. He has also completed short-courses in Business Analysis, Land Economics & governance structures and Econometrics to name a few. Areas of expertise include Agribusiness Multi-sector Analysis, Trade and Rural Development, Natural Resource Economics and Sustainable Agriculture. He has published in several academic journals and he is also serving as a Lecturer Extraordinary at the University of Stellenbosch in the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences (School of Public Leadership). He has previously worked in the private sector as a Trainee business Analyst in the financial sector, Policy and markets assistant in the environmental sector, and a Natural Resources economics researcher in the private sector.
